Distance rule lawsuit

4 providers working with Rock to Challenge

Milwaukee Group Home distance rules.

  1. Many BOSA hearings were held January 22.  Aldermen and community members showed up to object.
  2. Transition from under 60 to age 60 often results in financial roll-back = 30% cut.  This is a legal issue.  Discriminates against people with severe disabilities.  Rock is representing two consumers who live in HIL homes.

Sandra Butts - Sandra shared non-profit newsletter.  She promoted their training sessions.  90% of our revenue is Federal; we must observe these regulations.  Milwaukee Co. is not able to provide as much technical assistance as in the past.

No residential meeting today.  Will have one next month.
