IV.              Crisis Services in Milwaukee: Dr. Jack Iverson & Dr. Jill Wollenzein-Daniels

A.     Grant from Wisconsin: Increase Services

1.      Crisis services now has a psyc who has experience with DD population

2.      Contact Maureen Conaty with any upcoming issues and she can assist in referral

3.      Behavioral disorder is not a reason for admission

B.     Not a lot of resources for DD population: may attempt to get resources started

C.     Cross over training: symptoms to find out problem ; Psyc standpoint vs. behavior standpoint; help tracking behaviors

D.     Crisis Respite Provider: 48 hours – 30 days until resources can be decided on

E.      Hilltop downsizing – so really no new admissions

F.      Ask for consultation from Maureen Conaty

G.     Tom Nowak: MADDSA member to bring global help to crisis

H.     In past could not bill T19 for DD population – currently in last 3 years it now has been deemed available/billable

I.        Behavior treatment program would be best and can be utilized to help keep people within their settings and community placements

J.       State bringing on another specialist: end August – looking to form a Regional Behavioral Issues group, Community Integrations Team

 

V.                 Discussion of MADDSA Awards Program – Bob Glowaki – would not mind chairing
